In 2023, Ramadan Lights made history, captivating audiences worldwide. This groundbreaking initiative, a collaboration between the Aziz Foundation, Heart of London Business Alliance, Ramadan Lights founder Aisha Desai, and Algbra, was a true labour of love. The overwhelming support from the community exceeded all expectations. These lights on Coventry Street became the first aerial Ramadan lights in Western Europe—marking a milestone in cultural celebration. In 2024, we returned with an even more stunning, custom-designed display, illuminating Piccadilly Circus with breathtaking beauty.

 The Aziz Foundation’s Ramadan Lights London continues to dazzle Piccadilly Circus with over 30,000 LED bulbs, becoming a permanent annual fixture in the city’s embrace of diversity and inclusion. This spectacular display serves as a powerful symbol of unity, interfaith harmony, and the vibrant multicultural spirit of London. More than just a visual spectacle, these radiant lights welcome people of all backgrounds, fostering a shared celebration of Ramadan’s values of peace, togetherness, and reflection.

As Ramadan draws to a close, our display undergoes a stunning overnight transformation, revealing a glowing "Happy Eid" message. This dynamic switch makes it the first-ever Eid light installation in a major European city. creating a groundbreaking and joyous moment for all to witness.

Inspired by Islamic geometric patterns and the celestial symbols of Ramadan, our aerial lights reflect the rhythm of the Iftar and Suhoor meals eaten during the holy month - from the golden rays of sunrise to the gentle glow of the moon.

As the organisers and sponsors of Ramadan Lights London, the Aziz Foundation (Registered Charity: 1169558) is dedicated to empowering future leaders and fostering a more inclusive society. Through scholarships, internships, and mentorships, we drive social change, champion interfaith understanding, and support economic empowerment. With 650+ scholarships and 100+ internships awarded, we actively invest in community—focused initiatives like the Young Westminster Foundation, Westminster & Kensington Football Club, the Young Vic, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Committed to "paying it forward", we aim to inspire the next generation to uplift and unite communities across Britain.
