SHARED LIGHT - MASHUDA KHANDOKAR

Mashuda Khandokar is a British-Bangladeshi doctor and graphic designer whose work explores the intersection of healthcare and human-centred design. She is particularly interested in how design thinking can be used as a practical and ethical tool to inspire change, improve systems and amplify underrepresented voices.

Guided by values of creative problem-solving and service, Mashuda seeks to bridge medicine and design in ways that address healthcare inequalities and global challenges, with particular attention to ethnic and Muslim communities. Her commitment to inclusion was recently reflected in an exhibition she directed focusing on representation and accessibility within healthcare spaces.

Through her interdisciplinary approach, Mashuda demonstrates how design can move beyond aesthetics to become a means of advocacy, dialogue and meaningful social impact.
