SHARED LIGHT - MOHAMAD AAQIB ANVARMIA

Biography

Mohamad Aaqib Anvarmia is a UK-based artist originally from India whose work explores unity, balance and repetition through layered form and pattern. Influenced by his background in architecture and his interest in Islamic art, geometry and nature, his practice reflects a dialogue between structure and organic growth, shaped by the experience of living between cultures.


Working primarily with sustainable materials such as poplar plywood, Aaqib uses precision laser-cut techniques to create intricate, layered compositions. His process is deliberate and contemplative, allowing space for careful construction and reflection within each piece.


He has exhibited in public spaces and gallery settings, including community-led exhibitions and large-scale installations. His evolving practice brings together traditional influences and contemporary making methods, grounded in craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
